Art exhibition, Monday 21 - Friday 25 September
We are planning an art exhibition at Eastville Library. Local artists will present their artwork inspired by South Purdown.
Full Council Meeting, Wednesday 15 September at 6pm
We plan to submit questions around the progress with the new ecological survey, community use survey and exploration of alternative sites. We will also present our petition and a visual presentation as a 1 minute statement.
Big Purdown Clean Up, 29 August
Emily Shimell led a successful litter picking group on Purdown on the August bank holiday weekend.

Submit your questions addressed to mayor George Fergusson by 5 pm on 15 July and statements (recommend no longer than one side of A4 with salient points) by 12 pm on 20 July to [email protected]. These will be read out at the full council meeting on 21 July 2015. This is a public meeting so please attend if you can.

Purdown Pursuit 10k race, Thursday 30 July at 7.15 pm
This race is now full but you can cheer on the Town and Country Harriers from the race HQ at The Mason's Arms, 124 Park Rd, Stapleton, BS16 1DT. The race starts at 7.15 pm near the Duchess Pond car park and goes through South Purdown between 7:30 and 8:00 pm.
Evening walk on South Purdown, Saturday 18 July at 8.30 - 10.30 pm
Join our multi award winning conservation educator Steve England and discover the wildlife on South Purdown including bats. £5 Adults. Children go free. Only 20 places available. Bookings by email [email protected].
Big Purdown Picnic #2, Sunday 5 July 2015
Join us for our second Big Purdown picnic to meet neighbours, have lunch and play in the fields. There will be games including a sack race and opportunity to do crafts using materials found in the fields.
Public consultation meeting, Tuesday 30 June 2015 @7 pm
Contribute to the discussions on why South Purdown deserves to be saved from development at the public consultation meeting. The meeting is being held at Lockleaze Library, Muller Road, Bristol.

Evidence of protected species, 13 June 2015
We are collecting data on sightings of protected wildlife on South Purdown as evidence of environmental value. If you see any protected species such as slow worms, kestrels, song thrush, hedgehogs and greater horseshoe bat please contact us with details including the date and time of sighting, a photo if you have one as well as your name and contact details. Please refer to the list of endangered species on Wikipedia for more information.

We have started a new e-petition on the 38 degrees website to save South Purdown from development. Please sign and share the petitions with friends and family.
Big Purdown Picnic, Sunday 5 June 2015
Around 50 local people came together for a picnic on South Purdown to meet each other and enjoy Purdown.
Asset of community value, 3 June 2015
South Purdown is now registered as an asset of community value, however this does not stop the council from building on it! Please continue to log your use of South Purdown using the form in Google docs so that we can build up evidence of use by the local community.
